Nayma Binte Nur
Biographical Sketch
Nayma Nur recently completed her PhD in Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she specialized in hyperspectral remote sensing and surface radiative transfer modeling for soil and vegetation analysis. She also holds a Master's in Mathematics and has experience in imaging and radiative transfer modeling.Currently, Dr. Nur is a postdoctoral fellow, working with Nimrod Carmon and David R. Thompson on the Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation (EMIT). She is also developing a canopy vegetation modeling pipeline to assess the information that imaging spectroscopy can recover about vegetation properties using BRDF (bidirectional reflectance distribution function) modeling techniques.
